About Me

Hi, I'm Shivram. I'm a computer science student with many hobbies and passions. I've dabbled in art, music, software, poetry, prose, and more. I love making stuff.

I've been writing code since 2019. The problem-solving aspect of programming, paired with the ability to make things at almost zero cost, attracted me to the field. Since then, I've been making small software projects. Some of my projects have been made public. Most of them are just explorations into a certain field like graphics programming or web design.

Writing prose is another big passion of mine. I have a blog where I pen down my thoughts. Most of my posts are short vignettes, but I'm trying to write long-form, eloquent prose. The works of J. R. R. Tolkien are a big inspiration. Tolkien describes his world in unimaginable detail, but keeps the audience immersed in the story. I want to write in a way that turns walls of text into literary masterpieces.

I'm a bottom-up learner. Building things from first-principles and watching abstractions develop excites me. I feel that dissecting the math behind a work, and then putting it all back together, gives one a certain respect for the creator of that work.

Cycling is my means of escapism. Hour-long rides around the city, its streets, and its buildings. Small winding streets, easy to get lost in, quiet and full of greenery. It's a great way to revel in the beauty of nature, and a welcome break from the tedium of life.

I love having deep open-ended conversations! If you want to talk, get in touch through email, or on Discord.
